Policies

Cancellations/Change of Dates or Time of Care:

We at Faithful Friends are delighted to accommodate your requested services and arrange for a pet sitter to fulfill these services for you. In the event of any changes to your schedule or the need for a cancellation, we kindly request notification at least three days before the scheduled care. Failure to do so will result in the client being responsible for 50% of the total cost of the scheduled care. Should a cancellation occur within 24 hours of the scheduled care, the client will be responsible for the full amount. We allocate time and make arrangements for the care of your cherished pet(s), so please inform us promptly if any adjustments are needed to remove your pet(s) from the schedule.

Early Returns/Last minute Changes:

While it's common for travel plans to unexpectedly shift, it's important to recognize that at Faithful Friends, we meticulously organize our schedules to accommodate your needs and those of our other clients. Consequently, we do not provide refunds or credits for early returns or sudden alterations to pet care plans. Once the pet care services commence, no refunds will be issued. Your understanding in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Holiday Care:

During the holiday season, Faithful Friends experiences a surge in care request, and those made well in advance are more likely to be accommodated. However, request submitted 1-2 weeks before a holiday may not be guaranteed. We recommend having a back up plan in place. While we strive to fulfill care request, it's essential to understand that a 50% fee will be charged for holding a spot to request holiday care, and this fee is non-refundable if you cancel within two weeks of scheduled care.

Our dedicated sitter allocate their time to serve your pets during the holidays, often blocking off their schedule exclusively for your needs. We may also involve multiple sitters to ensure comprehensive care. As a result, we turn away other business  commitments once we commit to your care. 

Please note that holidays include New Year's, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Additionally a $25 holiday fee will be applied three days prior to and after the holiday, not on a daily basis. Our standard cancellation policy is applicable to holiday bookings as well. 

Additional Pet Care Assistance and Other Scheduled Services:

We all desire to provide our pets with the love and attention they rightfully deserve, which is why we do not engage in job-sharing with individuals entering your home. In the event that we become aware of work being carried out either before or during pet care, we will promptly reach out to you. You will be given the option to either conclude the work and resume when you return home, or we will terminate the care. Please be advised that we cannot be held responsible for unforeseen accidents that may occur in such situations. This policy is non-negotiable and applies without exceptions.

Animal Behavior:

Animal behavior can be unpredictable. Faithful Friends does not assume responsibility or liability for any normal or unusual behavior exhibited by animals that may result in harm to the client's pets. Furthermore, if a team member from Faithful Friends sustains harm or injury due to the client's animals, the client/owner acknowledges full responsibility for covering any necessary medical expenses incurred by either the Faithful Friends Pet Sitting provider or the animals. The pet sitter cannot be held accountable for damages caused by the pet, whether to the interior or exterior, in their absence. The pet sitter is committed to taking all possible measures to prevent any damages, which includes adhering to instructions for cleanup in the event of consistent accidents by the pets in the home.

Medications:

Faithful Friends will make every effort to administer medications according to provided instructions, but cannot accept responsibility for any complications that may arise as a result. Animals that are excessively shy and have medical issues pose a potential risk, especially cats. If you have such a pet, it is essential to thoroughly discuss their specific needs. Under no circumstances will Faithful Friends provide services for a pet with any contagious illness to ensure the safety of other clients. If a Faithful Friends pet sitting provider is bitten or exposed to any disease or ailment from the client's pet(s) that has not been properly or currently vaccinated, the client will bear the responsibility for all associated costs and damages.

House Issues:

In the event of an issue, such as a pipeline break, fire, break-in, or damage to the home caused by the pet, the owner will be promptly informed. If the owner cannot be reached, Faithful Friends is authorized to take necessary measures to address and resolve the problem to the best of their ability. The owner commits to reimbursing Faithful Friends for any charges incurred during the resolution process.

Fences:

Enclosed yards provide delightful play areas for our dogs, offering them extra room for exercise and enjoyment. Nevertheless, it's crucial to acknowledge that no fence system can guarantee absolute security. Faithful Friends does not assume responsibility or liability for any client's animals that may escape, become lost, or sustain injuries, whether fatal or otherwise, when specifically instructed to leave the client's animals in a fenced area. This encompasses electronic, wood, metal, or any other type of fence.

Thermostats:

Kindly maintain your thermostat settings within the standard comfortable range of 68-78°F. Should the house temperature fall outside of this range, Faithful Friends will make necessary adjustments to the thermostat. This measure is taken to safeguard the health and well-being of your pets during our service period.

Cameras:

We recognize that many of our clients utilize cameras within their homes or in outdoor spaces to monitor their pets in their absence. During the meet and greet, kindly inform us of the locations of these cameras. Additionally, include this information in your profile. In instances where a sitter is offering overnight care and cameras are present in the bedroom, the sitter will disconnect those cameras. Any hidden cameras discovered will also be disconnected. While we respect your use of cameras, it is essential that they be visible and not concealed. Hidden cameras are not within our policy.

Overnight Care:

When Faithful Friends provides overnight care, it is imperative that no other family member stays in the home during this period. Additionally, no home improvement or maintenance work should take place while you are away. In the event that we become aware of such work either before or during care, we will promptly contact you. You will be given the option to either conclude the work and resume when you return home, or we will terminate the care. Please be advised that we cannot be held responsible for unforeseen accidents that may occur in situations like this. This policy applies without exceptions

Veterinary Care:

Kindly reach out to your veterinarian to inform them about Faithful Friends Pet Sitting caring for your pet(s) during your absence. It is also requested that you provide a credit card to be placed on file with your veterinarian. Failure to complete this process and if the pet sitter must take your pet to the vet, covering the charges, you as the owner will be subject to an additional 20% charge on top of the veterinary fees.

Inclement Weather:

In the event of unexpected severe weather conditions, Faithful Friends will make every effort to ensure the continued provision of quality care for your pet(s). If, however, the pet sitter is unable to reach your home for care, your emergency contact will be informed. It's important to note that the pet sitter will not be held responsible for any damages to your home or injuries to the pet in these circumstances.

Questions/Concerns: 

While you are away on vacation, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not postpone addressing them until your return. I am available via phone or text throughout the day, and I encourage you to bring any queries or concerns to my attention promptly. I can address them immediately, ensuring that you do not need to worry. We highly value the care provided to your pets during your absence, and delaying communication until your return implies assuming responsibility. We will not assume nor be held liable in such cases. Your pets' needs are our foremost priority, and that's where we want our focus to remain.

Privacy Policy:

Your information will be treated with the utmost privacy and confidentiality. At Faithful Friends, we deeply value the trust our clients place in us for the care of their homes and beloved pets. While maintaining the confidentiality of your details, we recommend informing a trusted neighbor that Faithful Friends will be responsible for caring for your pets and home during your absence.

Our Promise to You:

Faithful Friends, along with our team members, is dedicated to delivering the services outlined in this agreement with reliability, care, and trustworthiness. As a specific condition associated with these services, the Owner explicitly waives and relinquishes any claims against the Pet Sitter, excluding those arising solely from gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of the Pet Sitter.
